File this under More Reason to Think That Hickman’s Infinity Will Influence Avengers: Infinity War:

Marvel screened some amazing footage from Avengers: Infinity War at D23 and at SDCC last weekend. I’ve seen a leaked version of the footage (I won’t link to it here, but you can find it pretty easily on Twitter), and I was excited to see what looked like a familiar critter at around the 2:30 mark of the trailer. Right before and right after Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor appears, there are brief glimpses of what looks like a four-armed creature. In one shot, the creature leaps toward the camera, and in another shot, it is fighting Black Panther. It’s a little bulkier than the comic book version, but if my suspicions are correct, it’s one of the creatures known as “Outriders” from Infinity:

Here’s how the book describes them: “Outriders are not born. They are made. A genetically engineered parasite-assassin solely devoted to the whims of its maker. These creatures have no names, just a binary existence defined by whether they complete the task given to them, or whether they fail” (Infinity #1).

The Outriders are a certainly a cool creature design, but as with the Cull Obsidian, what excites me most about this is that it’s further evidence that Hickman’s Infinity story will be an important inspiration for Avengers: Infinity War.
